Should the Baltimore Orioles Add Kevin Gausman in MLB Free Agency?
The Baltimore Orioles could add veteran right-hander Kevin Gausman this offseason. Kevin Gausman is set to become a free agent for the first time since signing a five-year, $110 million deal with the Baltimore Orioles in 2021. The team, who drafted him fourth overall in 2012, could use rotation help heading into 2027. Gausmann's performance in the past has been questioned, as he posted a 4.82 ERA in nine starts after being traded to the Cubs and his only postseason appearance was against the San Diego Padres. However, his ERA was the highest it has been since 2019 and he struggled for Chicago. If Gausmania does not retire, the Orioles should be considered on a one-year prove-it deal.
