Baltimore lands on National Geographic’s best places to visit for 2027
National Geographic has identified Baltimore as one of the best places to visit 2027. National Geographic magazine has named Baltimore as one of its top 25 destinations for 2027, ranking it alongside other U.S. destinations such as Madison, Wisconsin, California’s Pacific Coast Highway, the Southern Ozarks in Missouri and Arkansas, and Puerto Rico. The magazine highlighted the city's rich history, vibrant neighborhoods, and Inner Harbor as reasons for its inclusion. It highlighted changes at the recently renamed National Museum of Railroad History & Innovation, including a $38 million upgrade, which includes a new outdoor amphitheater opening in December and Innovation Hall in early 2027. The mag also highlighted historic Lexington Market's reopening and the redevelopment of Baltimore Peninsula.
