Wala Blegay named Prince George's County at-large councilmember
Blegay will replace Calvin Hawkins, who resigned earlier this month. Prince George's County has named Wala Blegay as its new at-large councilmember, replacing Calvin Hawkins who resigned earlier in the month. Hawkins' last day on the job was Dec. 22. BLegay, who was previously elected to the position, will continue championing the voices, needs, and priorities of residents across all nine council districts. Her office plans to hold town halls across the county to discuss issues affecting residents.
