Baltimore Orioles sew up jersey patch partnership with T Rowe Price

MLB franchise ends search for jersey patch sponsor after signing multi-year deal with asset management company. The Baltimore Orioles have secured a jersey patch partnership with T Rowe Price, becoming the first company to have its logo on their players' jerseys since MLB approved the use of patch sponsors for the 2023 season. The multi-year deal also includes ballpark signage, media, and hospitality assets, in-game activations, community programmes, and a brand presence at the Orioles’ spring training facility in Sarasota, Florida. The Orioles began searching for a sponsor two years ago, with senior VP TJ Brightman revealing that the club spoke with over 50 companies over a 16-month period before settling on T. Rowe Price. The logo will debut on the team's jersey on 11th June when the team hosts the Atlanta Braves.

Baltimore-based T Rowe Price becomes the first company to have its brand logo appear on the Orioles jersey since MLB gave the greenlight for the use of patch sponsors ahead of the 2023 season. The firm is also the 20th company to secure a patch sponsorship with an MLB team.

The Orioles began searching for a jersey patch sponsor two years ago, with the franchise’s senior vice president and chief revenue officer TJ Brightman revealing that the club spoke with more than 50 companies over a 16-month period before settling on T Rowe Price.

“We are ecstatic to enter into this partnership with T Rowe Price and welcome them as the first organisation to associate their name and brand on our uniforms,” said Brightman.

“This partnership acknowledges the strong Baltimore Orioles brand, and we are elated to bring together two Baltimore institutions to positively impact our Birdland community.”

T Rowe Price’s logo will debut on the Orioles’ jersey on 11th June when the team hosts the Atlanta Braves at Camden Yards.
