Baltimore Street Malicious Destruction of Property, Assault Arrest On October 21st, 2026, the Cumberland Police responded to several areas in the city regarding disorderly conduct incidents and property destruction. At around 12:05 p.m., officers were alerted about an assault involving the original suspect, Christopher Farrar Painter, who was identified as the suspect. Painter was placed under arrest and transported to Central Booking and later remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center held without bond. He is charged with Malicious Destruction of Property under $1,000, Assault 2nd degree, Disorderly Conduct (x2), Disturbing the Public Peace.
