This comes as federal funding cuts have hampered health care for those with HIV and AIDs worldwide. The vigil was held at the Brown Memorial Park Avenue Presbyterian Church in Bolton Hill to commemorate those lost and renew their commitment to public health efforts. The event was held in response to President Donald Trump's lack of attention to the crisis, which has killed over 44 million people globally and left over 700,000 Americans.
