Emergency responders were looking for at least 20 people believed to be in the water following the bridge collapsing, according to the same Fox News report.

Officials are describing it as a mass casualty event, but it's not known as of publication if anyone has died. The ship - a Singapore-flagged vessel - caught fire prior to sinking.

"[At] 1:35 a.m., Baltimore City police were notified of a partial bridge collapse, with workers possibly in the water, at the Francis Scott Key Bridge," the Baltimore Police told Fox News in a statement.
