COLLEGE PARK, MD — A noose has been found in the wooded area near the Paint Branch Trail not far from the College Park Community Center, police say.
On June 2 at 5:23 p.m., the Maryland National Capital Park Police, Prince George's County Division, were called to Paint Branch Trail about the noose. They found a yellow rope with a noose knot, which since has been removed and processed, according to police.
Police say there are no indications that this is a hate crime but it is being investigated.
