On Wednesday afternoon, Baltimore Police Department released body worn footage from the officer-involved shooting that occurred in South Baltimore on May 24th.

Police Commissioner Richard Worley and Deputy Commissioner Brian Nadeau of the Public Integrity & Compliance Bureau were in attendance.

Police say a man was killed and an officer was shot late that evening near the 3400 block of S. Hanover St.

Officers were investigating a call from two days prior about a suspect firing at least 15 rounds at people near Reed Bird Island Park in Baltimore.

The body-camera footage shows the perspective of the incident from several officers.

One officer is seen talking to the suspect and then the suspect stands up in an attempt to pull out a firearm.

Officers can be heard yelling, "Drop the gun" many times.

The suspect fires at the officers as he backs up into the home.

Which then led to the officers firing 39 rounds at the suspect.

All officers involved are on administrative leave at this time.
