The system, powered by software provider Accela, automatically generates property owner details and address unit numbers to reduce manual data entry errors and allows select trade permits that meet specific eligibility criteria to be issued faster. The new system is designed to eliminate unnecessary steps for contractors applying for permits or managing trade licenses. The launch marks the first phase of a larger migration of the county's permitting systems, developed by the Office of Information Technology and the Department of Permits, Approvals and Inspections. All other building permits will continue to be processed through the county’s existing portal.
