The incident was captured on video by Jimmy Lee Armel of the Knot Lucky White Shark Tagging Program, which catches, tags, and releases great white sharks to help researchers study their movements and behavior. However, this shark was not tagged and the crew released it without a tag. Armel said the shark's reaction was a clear reminder that great white Sharks are powerful wild animals that must be treated with respect.
