Baltimore has been named one of National Geographic’s best places in the world to visit in 2027, highlighting the city’s history and waterfront. National Geographic has named Baltimore one of its 25 Best Places in the World to Travel to 2027, alongside destinations across six continents. The annual list was released on Oct. 20 and was selected by National Geographic's global community of writers, photographers and explorers. This recognition comes as Baltimore prepares to celebrate 200 years of American railroading, with the National Museum of Railroad History & Innovation highlighting its $38 million upgrade ahead of the bicentennial. National Geographic also highlighted the fabled crab cakes at Faidley's Seafood at Lexington Market and the city's connection to the Chesapeake Bay.
